Luís Silva (P) is currently a Curatorial Fellow at Rhizome (New York) and a curator of an online programme at Lisboa 20 Arte Contemporanea (Lisbon). He studied Social Sciences at the Universidade de Lisboa and has a post-graduate degree in Communication, Culture and Information Technologies from the Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (ISCTE). He has curated several new media projects, namely Online - Portuguese Netart 1997-2004 (Lisbon, 2005) (http://www.atmosferas.net/netart), I tag you tag me: a folksonomy of Internet art, (TAGallery, Vienna, 2007) (http://del.icio.us/i_tag_you_tag_me), FW: Re: Re: (Rhizome, New York, 2008) amongst others. Marta Rupérez (ESP / UK) was New Media Curator at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology), Liverpool (UK) (2005 – 2008). Currently she works as production manager for TAO (TheArtOganisation) and other freelance projects. Trained as an art historian (UAM, Spain, 1999) and an arts administrator (MA [Ruperez 2003] - Fulbright Scholar; NYU, USA, 2003) her focus is on the study and production of contemporary creative expressions that incorporate technology. During her time in the US, she held temporary positions at institutions such as Rhizome.org, Guggenheim and the SFMoMA; she was also the editor of Artscape Magazine and regularly contributed to this and other periodical publications. Marta has coordinated and produced exhibitions and events at the Kate Ganz Gallery, NY; International House, NY; Havana Biennial 2003, Cuba; basis voor actuele Kunst, Utrecht; ARCO 2004 & 2005 (Contemporary Art Fair, Madrid); the Angel Orensanz Foundation, NY; UNDEAF, Rotterdam (2007). Manuela Moscoso (COL/ES) born in Bogotá, 1978, is an artist and a curator. She studied (BA) Fine Art at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London, UK. Since the beginning of 2008 she has been working as part of the LaAgencia team producing and coordinating Art and Technology projects. Simultaneously, she leads an independent curatorial project los29enchufes (Madrid) currently collaborating with the S.M.A.K Museum (Belgium) on a Curatorial Residency and Symposium in Madrid for September 2008. From February 2008, Moscoso, together with Ramón Mateos and Joseba Moso, launched the audiovisual online/DVD art magazine JULIO (http://www.thisisjulio.com/). Joasia Krysa (PL/UK) is an independent curator, founder of KURATOR (since 2004) (http://www.kurator.org), as well as lecturer/researcher at AZTEC (Art Science Technology Consortium), University of Plymouth (UK). Gianni Corino (IT/UK) developed openKURATR site using Drupal (http://www.drupal.org). He is an artist, programmer and currently an Associate Lecturer at the University of Plymouth (UK) contributing to AZTEC (Art Science Technology) teaching and research group. Previously he was a lecturer and researcher at the Turin Polytechnic. Prior to moving to academic work he was involved in media industry working for corporate clients and projects. His background is in performance, media and social studies, graphics and electronic communication but interests are broad from cinema to music, art to wine. More specifically, research interests are in space, memory and social agency in the field of interaction design and digital art. Recent works includes a collaboration project with visual artist Chiara Boeri on a installation Metrobosco based on the idea of participatory and ecological approach to urban redesign that was selected for Siggraph Art Galley 2007.
LaAgencia is an independent new media art production company created in 1998 in Madrid (ES). Its mandate is to respond to the new structural needs required by the incorporation of new technologies in art. LaAgencia is engaged in programmes and projects in Spain, Europe, USA and Latin America, focused on new media art as an alternative paradigm of research and knowledge. LaAgencia has been collaborating with ARCO since 1999, and is currently in charge of the technical coordination of EXPANDED-BOX (the new media art section at ARCO). LaAgencia is also responsible for developing and managing the programmes organised by ARCO related to new media art, such as the ARCO-BEEP Electronic Art Prize and the Arte 2.0 Competition of Ideas organised by Vocento, as well as sponsorship and technological alliances. As a production company, LaAgencia is a forerunner in the field of new media art collaborating with major organisations and artists.
